missed the world cup finals yest... should have trusted myself instead of my bro's hp alarm. he offed it and went back to sleep! argh. shall watch the repeat tonight. though a bit lag...
since channel 5 dun have the goodness in their hearts to show all the matches, i onli like caught a few matches, namely a couple of opening matches i saw in china in which england was really hopeless, the 3rd/4th placing and the semi with germany and italy.
i'm not really a football fan ever since i got put off by singapore soccer back when i was a little kid. talk about the impact of childhood trauma... but since i saw my 1st world cup 4 yrs ago, i grew to have faith in the sport. and lik all ignorant pple, the onli pple i could recognise were from england. i mean, even the aunty down the street knows who beckham is. obviously, i rooted for england( lik there was a choice).
then they got kicked out by brazil. which is when i started not liking brazil. haha. which is why i rooted for germany in the finals. and then they got kicked out. argh... but nevertheless, i found this super pro goalkeeper who will go on to be my ou xiang. (think i have a thing for gaolkeepers... david seaman and lehmann are also my ou xiang!)
anw, sadly kahn wasnt playing in this world cup! so sad can.... but luckily (or not since germany lost to italy) he replaced lehmman in the 3rd/4th placing match. and still so pro!! *gush gush* his reaction is like so fast! and he is just so cool (no matter wat u pple sae...)
so from now on, i shall support germany... they r much more hopeful than england. at least their coach is. but kahn will be gone. but i shall support germany in his memory... hopefully lehmman wont be gone...
