Just remembered something else to add on to the previous entry (keep forgetting what I wanted to add)..
Coldest Room (in NUS and probably the Singapore): NUS BLK ADM Chatterbox. I swear the temperature dropped to around 10 degrees in the middle of the night. one of the glass doors were open and the other door still managed to frost!! ultimate. I woke up and kept shivering for the next hour or so. thought i was going into hypothermia. in spore!
Most Hated Person: Murphy. damn those laws!!
that's beside the point. noone gt bleeding, fractures or heart attack during WAFF.. those first aiders on duty look too free!!
I digress.
Just went for a 3 day first aid course at St John HQ. it was not so nostalgic being back in that old building.. though I cant say there were not much memory there... afterall, it was the place where we broke down after losing zone com, where we broke down after seeing the team we trained until want to die win the zone com and the place where we first learnt first aid and homenursing, no matter how terribly it was taught.. the gruelling trainings in school and strong instill of discipline were what made me the person I am and I am thankful for that. and returning to SJ to take a first aid course made me realised how amazing those 4 years of trainings I had were.. to the extent where I can still remember the signs and symptoms of illnesses and how to do CPR and tie bandanges. its not something people can claim to do after a 3 day course, no matter how hard they practice or study. the things I do are mostly based on muscle memory that I didnt realised how much details can go into a CPR process until I was practising with my fellow coursemates. I saw the mistakes they made, the very mistakes I did not make due to 4 years of drilling and practising. and helping these people correct their mistakes reminded me of how it felt to train a team from scratch, to turn lost, confused sec 1 cadets into well oiled machines at sec 4. and I feel like doing it again!! training people first aid!! think I can work in SJ after retirement... its already an old folks' club there.. everyone moves so slowly!!
and being totally random again, I just watched Red Cliff with yan and vaness. seriously ANTI CLIMAX. shall not reveal anymore. shall put everyone through the torture I was put through. noone bothered to tell us the show is soooo ... you know.... shall not reveal. hahah. go watch it!! its a nice show!! except for the.... you know.. argh... cant say anything without revealing anything. haha. recommended!!'
