i got a DIGICAM!! YAY!!! THANKS MOMMIE!!

anw... just went to the dentist today.

the dentist was really nice, but somehow i just didnt feel at ease.

and as i was sitting on the chair (u noe, the big scary one..) like some poor victim out of a slasher horror flick, i began wondering why pple have dentistophobia (nice name?)

and i came up with many reasons..

the most obvious would definitely be the chair. its different from any other chair at any other place and as it moves down, u feel lik u are sinking into doomsday. sinking towards the dentist with no hope and no way to escape.

next would be the inescapability of the situation. unlike in any other times, when ur 'fight or flight' instinct kick in, this time u actually have no way to run. the onli way out would be to sit up and knock the teeth (pun intended) out of the dentist and scurry away. but then again... dont forget there are probably a thousand and one scary sharp things with funny noises sticking into ur mouth. and by jerking up, u probably risk getting those thingys shoved down ur throat.

the fact tt my dentist kept filling me with graphic details certainly didnt help matters. she told me that the mirror stick thingy was there to prevent cutting my tongue. (at this pt, i gave a shudder). the saliva sucking thing suddenly look at threatening as a vacuum about to suck my entire tongue out. she also handed me a mirror in the middle of nowhere and ask me to look at the cleaning process. i mean, i can stomach a lot of things, but looking at things being done to me is definitely not one of them. the mirror was also so dirty that i could barely see myself. another scene right out of a slasher movie. then somehow she managed to cut my mouth. BEAUTIFUL.

oh yah. and a creepy assistant that made no effort to even appear friendly but just stare at you everytime you made a move.
